This policy explains what MafiaCrime collects when you play on the website or the mobile app, why we collect it, who we share it with and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, email address and password. Passwords are stored as a one-way hash and can't be read by anyone.
- Game data: your stats, items, money, gang, missions and everything else you do in the game, including logs of attacks, trades and purchases.
- Messages and posts: in-game mail, chat, forum posts, shoutouts and your profile text. Staff can read in-game mail and chat to enforce the Terms of Service.
- Sign-in and device data: your IP address and browser or device type when you register and sign in. We use this to keep accounts secure and to detect multiple accounts and cheating.
- Push notification tokens: if you allow notifications in the mobile app, we store a token for your device and your notification settings.
- Purchases: what you bought, when, and a transaction ID. Payments are handled by PayPal, Stripe, the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card details.
Cookies
The website uses cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms. The sign-in and registration pages also use Google Analytics to count visits.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We only share it with services that help us run the game:
- Payment providers (PayPal, Stripe, Apple, Google) and RevenueCat, which confirms app store purchases for us.
- Expo, which delivers push notifications to your device.
- Google Gemini, which writes the short summaries shown at the top of forum threads from the posts in them.
- Our email provider, to send verification and password reset emails.
- Error tracking, which receives technical details when something goes wrong, so we can fix it.
We may also share data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep records of your account and activity to prevent abuse and cheating, and to keep financial records.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings on the website, or Settings → Delete account in the mobile app. You'll need to enter your password. If you lead a gang, hand over leadership first.
Deleting your account closes it permanently. We keep records of your account and activity to prevent abuse and cheating.
If you can't sign in and want your account deleted, contact us at the address below.
Children
MafiaCrime isn't meant for anyone under 15. If you think a child under 15 has made an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
